Wurst is an open source Minecraft hacked client created by Alexander01998 with the Wurst-Imperium. Wurst development started on May 1, 2014, the first Private Beta version was released on May 8, 2014, and the first Public Beta version was released on June 27, 2014¹⁾. Wurst 1.0's official release date was July 29, 2014²⁾.

On August 29, 2014, Wurst appeared in the WiZARDHAX.com Top Clients list for the first time³⁾. On October 7, 2014, Wurst received the “featured” status on WiZARDHAX.com⁴⁾. As of January 16, 2016, Wurst is the most popular hacked client on WiZARDHAX.com⁵⁾.
